Activision is set to redefine the way we play video games by introducing a new motion controlled skateboard for their latest addition to the Tony Hawk franchise.  Tony Hawk: Ride is set to launch with a full on motion controlled, no buttons skate board to record your every movement and bring an unprecedented level of realism to video games.  The skateboard makes use of a combination of accelerometers and motion sensors allowing the player to directly control their character in game doing whatever tricks they can pull off.

Tony Hawk: RIDE is a massive step forward for the franchise and the gaming industry as a whole,” said Rob Kostich, head of marketing, global brand management, Activision Publishing, Inc. “The skateboard controller will redefine sports games by offering players a true skateboarding experience, hands-free, playing with friends and family at home or online in a variety of different locations.”

Tony Hawk: RIDE is set to release on the PLAYSTATION 3, Xbox 360 and Wii later this year.
