New DVD Releases: March 10

Another big week for DVD releases! Sean Penn’s legendary performance as Harvey Milk is available for in-home viewing March 10th! Director Gus Van Sant manages to take an extremely controversial topic and make it an enlightening (and heart wrenching) experience for viewers, despite their background, sexuality or religious beliefs.

Although Harvey Milk’s brutal assassination is certainly not an unknown tale, the painstaking detail that Van Sant incorporates brings a new understanding of the gay community and its struggles. All personal feelings aside, this movie is a must see.
